Our foundation herd is of uncompromising quality based on full Peruvian and Accoyo genetics from the sixth importation.
We have bred our animals for continuous fiber improvement regardless of color and we have been rewarded with pure bundles of fine fleeced animals with superb handle and conformation.
Southwood is proud to offer only the highest quality females and herdsires with proven genetics. We are large enough to offer a selection of wonderful animals, yet small enough to care for each of our animals personally.
While some quality breeding programs reserve their best animals, all but a few of our animals are for sale and these are reserved for sentimental reasons not due to their superior quality. Southwood's animals tend to be more expensive than some and are worth every penny when you examine our animals' future financial return over their breeding lives. We are proud of our animals and would like to show you their unsurpassed quality.

Peruvian El Mystro: |
El Mystro is a rich maroon brown Herdsire with density, fineness and crimp. His sire is Peruvian Camelot who was one of the top picks reserved by the importers. El Mystro has many ribbons under his belt including 2001& 2002 Mapaca awards. Mystro' fleece is very consistent, dense and on top of this, he has a sweet face and nice top-knot. |

CPeruvian Captain Cuervo: |
Cuervo has a rich fawn fleece with exceptional handle and he has it from head to toe. He won a blue ribbon at both MAPACA (2001) and AOBA (2001). His confirmation is superb and he has a head and top knot which wins judges over again and again. |

Peruvian Black Jack: |
Black Jack one of the finest fleeced black males we have ever encountered and has incredible handle and coverage. Add to this one of the best confirmations we have ever seen and you have a dark male who is sure to add both color, quality and sweet personality to your future cria. |
